Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries is the owner of Antilia, and recently Antilia is identified as the most costliest billionaire home in the world, according to the Forbes list. And the list also includes the Indian-origin Steel Tycoon Lakshmi Mittal’s houses in London.

Recently Forbes, stated that “The title of the most outrageously expensive property in the world  still belongs to Mukesh Ambani, which is Antilia located in the Mumbai. The estimated cost of Antilia is $1-2 billion”.

About Antilia:

Mukesh Ambani’s Antilia is 27-storey,  400,000-square-foot skyscraper, which is named after a Mythical island in the Atlantic. This property includes three helicopter pads, six stories of underground parking and a stuff of 600 people to keep it running.

As per the Antilia’s cost and other features, Forbes compared the Antilia with “7 World Trade Center”, which is 52-storey tower located near Ground Zero in Manhattan on an area of 1.7 million square feet of office space, which was reportedly built for $2 billion. And the other side Kensington Palace Gardens located in London, owned by Mr Mittal’s occupy the 5th and the 18th spot on the list of the 21 most expensive billionaire homes in the world

This steel magnate believed to own three homes on the high-security street known as ‘Billionaires Row’ which also includes the Neo-Georgian Mansion near the Israeli embassy. Forbes stated that “according to rumor the home have been purchased for his son, who was sold by hedge fund billionaire Noam Gottesman. The values of home in 2008 was approx $222 million and it is reported that now it is available for sale.

Another house of Mr Mittal is on the Upscale Street, was purchased in approx $90 million in 2004. He had picked up this 55,000-square foot mansion from the billionaire Bernie Ecclestone and after renovation he named it ‘Taj Mittal’. This house has 12 bedrooms followed by a pool and marble sourced from the same quarry as the Taj Mahal.

Forbes stated that “As 2014 continues, the list of high – priced homes owned by billionaires is stacking up. However the market was cool and silent in 2013, with no positive sign of properties trading, but now it cross the $100 million mark in 2014. London set the new record and here three home sold for more than $100 million in current year.

In Forbes List the second place was occupied by ‘Villa Leopolda’, the home of Brazilian philanthropist and social figure Lily Safra in France. The more Forbes added that one of in many waterside homes is of King Leopold II of Belgium built for his many mistresses, set on an area of 20 acres and this massive home was valued at $750 million, when Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov tried to buy it in 2008.

The third most expensive billionaire home in the list is owned by American Investor and Businessman Ira Rennert in Sagaponack, New York, which is valued $248.5 million in its 2014 in tax procedure.
