When housing society considered Prakash Jha a threat!
That resident housing society spares none when it comes to convenience and security is well known. But the film makers who feel that they can get away with their maverick behavior might learn a lesson the way famed film director Prakash Jha did.
Prakash Jha was asked to keep all his business to the confines of office, by the members of the housing society where his office is located as they felt that he was a threat to the society.
Initially, Jha was flummoxed when a society member called him and asked him to do whatever he wants in his office premise and not leave his property out in the society parking lot. But after making a call to his office staff, he realized that the society member voiced his objection to some of the anti-government props that are being used for in his next film Chakravyuh.
When housing society considered Prakash Jha a threat!
The story goes that a worker from Jha’s office had washed some red flags with anti-police and anti-government slogans such as ‘Revolution Gun Victory’ on it, and put them out to dry in the society compound. The members of the society got worried thinking that the filmmaker was planning a protest in the housing society premises. But once Jha explained to them that the flags are for his next film Chakravyuh, which is about naxals, and has nothing to do with any kind of protest, they were relieved. Chakravyuh starring Abhay Deol, Arjun Rampal and Esha Gupta, is a serious take on the problems of naxalites. The unit is currently shooting in the jungles of Panchmari, Madhya Pradesh.
